Camp Tanglefoot Troop Camp
Troop Leaders, bring your whole troop to experience the fun of summer camp! We’ll follow an open camp schedule, which means your troop can choose which camp staff led activities you want to do throughout the day. Your troop can choose to go boating and swimming at the waterfront, do archery, make art projects at the Craft House, and much more! Participants entering 7th grade and above in Fall 2021 (including adults!) are eligible to try our two-level high ropes course. Camp counselors will join you for a campfire with singing and s'mores in the evening. Wake up to more fun throughout camp before heading out at 11:00 A.M. Supper and breakfast meals are included. The cost is $70 per person for this overnight event. Troops must bring a minimum of 5 girls and enough adults to meet supervision ratios. Each troop will have it's own sleeping unit; maximum of 5 troops per overnight.
Lodging Options (Troops will select their preferred lodging during registration).
Please note that listed capacities are based on current COVID-19 guidelines. Do NOT split your troop between lodging options during registration. If your troop is larger than the available lodging capacities, please email info@gsiowa.org to see if we can accommodate a larger troop.
- Frontier Hill – Unit Capacity 12, connected by boardwalk with electricity and ceiling fans, but no a/c; restrooms nearby.
- Pooh Corner – Unit Capacity 24, with electricity and ceiling fans, but no a/c; restrooms nearby.
- Robin’s Roost – Unit Capacity 15, platform tents; no electricity or a/c.
- Terrace of the Winds – Unit Capacity 12, small cabins with electricity and ceiling fans, but no a/c; restrooms nearby.
- Windy Knoll – Unit Capacity 12, platform tents; no electricity or a/c.
*NEW THIS YEAR* We’re using CampDoc for camper forms. An email will be to approximately 10 business days following registration with instructions for filling in forms to the email address entered for each registrant during registration.
