As a Counselor-in-Training (C.I.T.) at Camp Tanglefoot, you’ll participate in an extremely successful Leadership Program directed toward your future in camp counseling and excelling at life.  The program is completed over a two-summer period, and the training is based upon the resources from leading child development experts, Girl Scouts of the USA, and the American Camp Association.  By participating in this program, you will create a strong foundation for many other future leadership opportunities.  After successful completion of the program, C.I.T.'s are eligible to apply to work as camp staff. 

C.I.T. 2: In this session, you’ll expand upon the skills learned C.I.T. 1, and will step up as a leader among your peers.  This session includes a week of experience leading younger campers in camp activities and outdoor living skills. You’ll learn to safely facilitate camp programming and gain experience in various group dynamics, while learning more about what it means to be a well-rounded and successful camp counselor.

C.I.T.’s will have a session break from Friday, July 29, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. through Monday, August 1, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. C.I.T.’s must make arrangements to leave camp during this session break.
