Get ready for an unforgettable adventure at the annual Capitol Girls program! This is your chance to dive into the world of government and the judicial system, designed especially for Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador (6-12 grade) girls who want to make a difference and learn how our state works.
You’ll step inside the impressive Iowa Judicial Building and meet an Iowa Supreme Court Justice (subject to availability). Then, you'll take a behind-the-scenes tour of the amazing Iowa Capitol building, where you’ll get to climb up to the balcony of the dome for a view like no other. You'll meet real-life leaders of the judicial process and discover what makes our government tick.
By the end of the day, you’ll have completed all the steps for the Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Democracy badges. Plus, we’ll make sure your school knows this is an experience you can’t miss. Need a letter for an excused absence? Just email us at info@gsiowa.org, and we’ve got you covered.
Lunch is included for youth and adult chaperones. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions during registration.
Chaperones are welcome but not required, and must register.
Register by March 7.
